I know that you have laptops and your phones at school. Please do not contact me during the day. I don't want to know that you forgot $3 for your flu shot, need $10 for a mixer (only a few tickets left), that you hated lunch, had a pop quiz, flunked a test, forgot an audition, or need your gym clothes.
The school rules clearly state that phones are not to be turned on and personal email accounts are not to be accessed during the day. If you continue I will report you to the authorities!!!

It takes a week or so, but we found that if you reply "Bummer" to many of the attempts to make someone else's problem yours the attempts stop coming, and the problems get resolved.
Try it, you'll come to like it.
There's always "whoops" and "sorry", too.
