Yikes

I haven't done any major decorating in years.  I bought great dining and bedroom furniture years ago as well as good tables and occasional pieces for my living room and entrance halls.  I have never cared for the sofas which hubby brought with them but they are in wonderful shape.   My plan is to recover them while the new wood floors are being installed and great room is painted.   The first store I went to wants $1200 per sofa in labor.  Most of their fabrics are close to $100 a yard.  I am definitely going to have to do some major shopping around.  I'm thinking they are way out of line.  I had a wing back and ottoman recovered a few years ago for $350 but can't find that guys number.  My organizational skills are too weak.  I wish I could do this myself.
