I just told my seventh grade daughter I would buy her a pair of pink patent top-siders (we saw in Journey's this evening) if she got an A on her science test. I know that is so wrong but we are desperate to motivate this child.
While it isn't my preferred method, I have to confess...I've done my share of bribing over the years...particularly with our daughter. I like to call it "Positive reinforcement"...everybody is for THAT and it doesn't sound as bad as "bribery."
