Never thought I would say it ...

Just a quick chance for me to get a thought down.  I'm hosting book club tonight and have been volunteering at school's auction all day.  While driving my 13 year older daughter to dance tonight I actually said .... "why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free".  With all my life experience, graduate education, parenting books I've read, other moms I've talked to, that's the best I can come up with???

My daughter has been gradually sharing tidbits from last weekends mixer which prompted my comment.  Last year we got our last American Girl doll, now this.
