Friends

My bff was in town yesterday and after we visited here, where she got to see how much my children (and myself) have grown we went shopping.  We visited some home boutiques and of course Home Goods and Steinmart.  What a great time we we had -- it was just like old days.  We shared an apartment right out of college, then we both got married the following year.  Her timing was better, I had to move home for a few months before my wedding because fiance was living in our new home.  Do people even do that anymore?  Then after we were home with our first children we sometimes would do the shopping circuit.  One time I went to pick her up and we were both wearing the same outfit!!  Several years ago she moved away so it's not as easy to stay connected but when we do it's so much fun.  On the way to church today my youngest asked me if Grandma and Grandpa ever knew my friend.  He was so surprised to learn she used to be at our house all the time, just like his friends are at our home

Other than that hubby is out of town so it has been a busy weekend.  I had planned to have a laid back weekend and be in my pjs with a glass of wine and a book by 9.  I guess I forgot that I have 3 children.  We had tennis, soccer, ballet and all the rest.  We had sleep overs Friday and Saturday.  And today I still have a soccer game and a ballet meeting!  I'm guessing around 8 tonight someone will be looking for construction paper and a glue gun to complete a project assigned a month ago.  I made my two youngest the cutest bulletin boards so they could keep track of all their assignments but they are very blank.
