Crazy Straws

The news was on in the kitchen this morning while my children were having breakfast. NBC did a story about a state university in California which was under scrutiny for contracting with Sarah Pallin to give a speech. Apparently a student found a copy of the contract in the trash. One of the requirements, according to the story, was that she be provided two water bottles with bendy straws.

My 18 year old said she should have gone for those crazy, twisty straws I used to get him when he was little.

It's moments like this that have kept me going the past 18 years.
